I want to thank those of you who have read and contributed to CelebraZine. I am grateful for the introduction to the works that putting together this celebration has gifted me with, and to the company of the gentle souls that have shared this part of my journey with me.
Peace and wonder to all you for the works seeking to better our world!!!
However, in order to best honor my place in–and give my best gift to–this world, I must take a long sabbatical of walking the mountain, extended meditation, focused writing of my novels, and fully embracing the sacred prosaic that is glorious life.
We have never been truly parted, yet will we meet again…..
May you be forever gifted with awareness of the beauty, wonder, and sacredness in the world around you and within you.
Blessings, dear ones,

There’s a lot of talk about what you should do to become successful, but I would argue that it ’s more about who you are that makes the biggest impact. It’s the decisions we make on a daily basis, the habits we naturally form in our lives that determine the level of success we can achieve. Here are 10 traits that I’ve seen as essential for success.
Hindu saying (from the book, “A Joseph Campbell Companion”),
“by none but a god shall a god be worshipped”–
Therefore, you must become the god you wish to worship.

Responsibility does not only lie with the leaders of our countries or with those who have been appointed or elected to do a particular job. It lies with each of us individually. Peace, for example, starts within each one of us. When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us.–HH the Dalai Lama
I offer you peace. I offer you love. I offer you friendship. I see your beauty. I hear your need. I feel your feelings. My wisdom flows from the Highest Source. I salute that Source in you. Let us work together for unity and love.–Mahatma Gandhi Quotes

…the function of art is exactly that which I have clearly named as the first function of mythology; to transport the mind in experience past the guardians–desire and fear–of the paradisal gate to the tree within of illuminated life. We can always choose to perceive things differently. You can focus on what’s wrong in your life or you can focus on what’s right. – Marianne Williamson
“I would like to beg you, dear Sir, to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, some day far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.”

The Four Candles burned slowly. Their ambiance was so soft you could hear them speak.
The first candle said,“I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit.” Then Peace’s flame slowly diminished and went out completely.
The second candle said, “I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable.”
Then Faith’s flame slowly diminished and went out completely. Sadly the third candle spoke, “I Am Love and I haven’t the strength to stay lit any longer. People put me aside and don’t understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them.” And waiting no longer, Love went out completely.
Suddenly, a child entered the room and saw the three candles no longer burning. The child began to cry, “Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end.” Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, “Don’t be afraid, for I am hope, and while I still burn, we can relight the other candles.” With shining eyes, the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles. Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life. With Hope, no matter how bad things look, Peace, Faith, and Love can shine brightly in your life.

Waiting for the fish to bite or waiting for wind to fly a kite. Or waiting around for Friday night or waiting perhaps for their Uncle Jake or a pot to boil or a better break or a string of pearls or a pair of pants or a wig with curls or another chance. Everyone is just waiting. — Dr. Seuss
